By investing in anaca studio furniture and products you also make an investment towards a better future. Timbers

All our solid timbers used are sourced by our manufacturers from Australian or overseas mills practising sustainable forestry with FSC/PEFC/AFS timber standards. Where Plywood or MDF is used as a construction material or as a substrate to veneer products, it is specified as E0 and GECA-rated.

Finishes

- Timber:

We use an Australian-made high-grade single-pack lacquer on our timber products and a low VOC 2-pack polyurethane lacquer on our dining tables. Water-based lacquer and stain finishes may also be specified.

Emi / Max tables - These products are finished with Osmo Polyx – a German-developed product that is an extremely durable, low-maintenance oil and wax finish suitable for interior woodwork. As durable as polyurethane, and far easier to repair when scratched or worn down. Once fully cured, will not crack, flake, peel, blister or water mark and is stain resistant against most household products.

- Metal:

Powdercoat finishes are used on all metals for their Zero VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) properties.

Upholstery

The fabrics in our brochures are sourced from trusted Australian suppliers, and chosen for their suitability and sustainability. We can also help you find a variety of eco-friendly fabrics and leathers from other suppliers, including recycled wools, recycled polyesters, organic dyes, and chrome-free leathers.

Foams and cushions have Level C Ecospecifier Green Tag certification. They are CFC-free and recyclable. “Global GreenTag certified products pass the world's toughest standards to protect you, and your family's health and safety, minimise your impact on our finite planet and put the power of selection back in your hands.” Water-based glues are also being used in any of our upholstery production.

Rugs

We choose rugs made from natural fibres that can be recycled or composted when they are no longer needed.

We only select suppliers who ensure no child labour is used in the rug’s production and that fair and ethical working conditions are maintained. They are either certified by GoodWeave® or members of the Care & Fair® program.

Extended Life

Our products are designed and manufactured to last a lifetime, thereby providing a solution to mass-produced, disposable furniture.

To further extend the life cycle of our products, we offer re-upholstery or refinishing of our products. They may have been damaged by accident or over time, or the customer may just wish to change the original fabric, colour or finish. This will be quoted based on the quantity and work required. We also strive to work with our clients to find a solution to repurpose the items or help find a reseller if the products are no longer needed.
